Foundations and Businesses

We believe that redundancy in the social sector leads to a waste of precious resources. The Blackbird Foundation partners with sustainable organizations that are implementing and discovering long-term solutions to our local and global challenges.

The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative.

The mission of the Lander Community Foundation is to create a stronger community by promoting philanthropy, encouraging effective giving, and facilitating volunteerism while providing leadership on issues that are important to our community.

The goal of the Lander Investment for Tomorrow (LIFT) Program is to invest Fremont County’s one-half cent sales tax funds back into the Lander economy by providing funding programs to its businesses or organizations.

LOR Foundation supports projects that can have an immediate, measurable impact because many small actions can create lasting change. LOR’s work focuses on solutions that improve quality of life across a broad range of issues—the economy, education, engagement, environment, health, housing, transportation, and water.

Lander Gambles donated a sweet Tempur-Pedic mattress to replace our sorry excuse for a mattress that came with the hospital bed frame. The Lander Journal wrote a delightful article about Shane's generous donation and helpful information about our community-based services. Thanks for writing such a thoughtful article, Jeff Rebitski.

Thanks again Shane for the sweet mattress that will be a warmly welcome treat for many of our clients who spend a lot of time in bed during times of chronic illness or at the end of life. This is an incredibly precious gift--one that is pampering and very practical in keeping skin intact during such fragile stages of life. Read more here.

The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is part of the PacifiCorp Foundation, one of the largest utility-endowed foundations in the United States. The foundation was created by PacifiCorp, an energy company that serves over 2 million customers across a diverse six-state region as Rocky Mountain Power (Utah, Wyoming and Idaho) and Pacific Power (Oregon, Washington and California). The foundation’s mission, through charitable investments, is to support the growth and vitality of the communities served by Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power. Since it started in 1988, the foundation has awarded more than $60 million to nonprofit organizations. The Fremont Endowment Fund & the Kresge Unrestricted Endowment Fund through WYCF Statewide Board recommendation donated $7500 to Anam Cara in 2023.

For over 30 years the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. WYCF has granted more than $100 million to charitable causes while also providing a variety of supports to our nonprofit agency fund holders.

WYCF serves donors and communities by connecting them to causes they care about most. We make giving easy by accepting a wide-range of gifts, from cash and appreciated securities to more complex gifts such as real estate and mineral interests. WYCF is overseen by a volunteer board who ensures that your funds are being used to best support Wyoming.
